Healthcare Issues

John continues to oppose the Affordable Care Act -- Obamacare -- in Congress. The landmark law redefines the relationship between patients, doctors and bureaucrats -- putting far too much power in the hands of the latter.

In the next Congress, a top priority will be fixing the flaws in the healthcare law. John supports reforms that include associated health plans, which allow membership organizations to pool their members; allowing individuals to deduct the cost of insurance like a business can; allowing insurance to be sold across state lines; creating state and regional high risk pools; and passing medical liability reform.
