John M. Shimkus of Collinsville has been serving as a Member of Congress since his first ellection in 1996 representing the 15th District of Illinois. He won his first election to what was then the 20th District by a narrow margin in 1996 over State Representative Jay Hoffman.
Volunteers for Shimkus work closely with the National Republican Congressional Committee, the Illinois State GOP, and local groups across our state to elect conservative Republicans to all levels of government.
